Artist Kittiwat Unarrom, Demon Baker

As an undergraduate art student, Unarrom painted portraits. He then moved on to mixed media and finally, dough — a natural medium for him given the fact that his family runs a bakery.

“Of course, people were shocked and thought that I was mad when they saw the works. But once they knew the idea behind it, they understood and became interested in the work itself, instead of thinking that I am crazy.”

No need to get all up in arms — the bread is made from dough, raisins, cashews and chocolate. After the loaves are baked, the artist applies his own unique, finishing touches.

In his ostensibly gruesome approach to culinary craftsmanship, Unarrom utilizes his fine arts education and Buddhist philosophy, the latter of which dismisses reliance on outward appearances.
